- Zurr ibn Hubaysh conveyed that Ali RA said: “The Prophet ﷺ made a covenant with me that none would love me but a believer, and none would hate me but a hypocrite.’ Related exclusively by Muslim
- Dhirar ibn Dhumrah said: “Well, by Allah, he was farsighted and very strong. His word was decisive and his judgment was just. Knowledge burst from his sides, and wisdom was uttered from his words. He felt aversion to the worldly life and its pleasure, and he felt at harmony with the night and its darkness. His eye teared a lot and his thinking prolonged, He then would turn his hand to talk to himself. He liked the rough of clothing and harsh food.”
His Death:
- Abdul Rahman ibn Muljim struck him at Kufa on Friday, 13 days before the end of Ramadan (som easy it was 21st night of Ramadan), 40 H
- He died the night before Sunday
- He was bathed by his sons and Abdullah ibn Ja’far
- Al Hasan led his janazah prayer
- He was buried at dawn
